Betrayal - Page 2

Whew! Chugging right along here.  Thanks everyone for sticking with me through the holidays!  Hope its going well for everyone.

Here’s the last page for the year…  a bunch of Mastors!  OOOOoooo!  But not the friendly types it would seem.  These aer more of the stormtrooper variety.  I thought for today I would point out that some Mastor powers are more commonplace than others:

There are those like Jefe and Matt, and some others we’ll soon see, that have more unique powers, but the storm trooper variety come in two flavors!  There’s the force field types… like Peter, who fly around in their force field bubbles (or in the case of Sector 5, sap other Mastors’ energy to throw a field around a whole planet!), that can also use their fields in a more offensive manner.  And then the ground troops that are your basic (hrm) energy blast variety.

Okay I sound like a complete dork having written that all out.  Forgive me.

Enjoy the page!

Thanks for reading and commenting!

Happy New Year!

Hey guys!  A rarity from me.  Honest to goodness PENCIL work.  Yep.  I don’t have many of these, and this was such a fun drawing, I thought I’d share it with y’all.  This was the initial first rough… to get all the perspective and whatnot in.  I went over it and refined all the alien mastors, etc once it was scanned, and then inked it.  Process stuff is cool/interesting to me, so I though you guys might appreciate it, too!

I don’t post to many pics, but I think you should be able to enlarge it by clicking on it.  Compare to the final product, today’s page!

MastorisM goes APE!

Hey everybody.  I keep hoping to sum everything all up in one post here or one post there, but the truth is, APE was a pretty overwhelming experience, and I’m still reeling and processing everythign that happened.  Whew!   In short… It went very, very well.  I met a lot of really cool prospective MastorisM fans (even a superfan or two), made some friends, and of course, aquired a lot of cool goodies!

The weekend as a whole was quite a whirlwind.  We left after taking our kids trick-or-treating friday, so we didn’t end up actually rolling into San Francisco about 2am, only to get up a few short hours later to set up saturday morning.  Sunday was a bit milder (set up was at 10:30), but we didn’t end up getting back home, again, until 2am… But it was worth it for all the fun we had!

I sold a bunch of books, handed out a ton of stickers and sketch cards, and, somewhat suprisngly, moved a ton of T-shirts (non-mastorism related).  A few years back I had been selling some t-shirts online, and had still had a bit of a back stock…  on a lark, I brought them along, and they proved to be quite a hit.  Who knew?  Anyway, hopefully we picked up some new readers along the way…  Sunday, especially, there seemed to be a lot of folks interested in my books, so that was really cool. I even signed a few autographs!  Weird!

For a first con experience, I can’t complain one bit!  I had a ton of fun (I can’t say that enough).  So a big big thanks to my wife, Lisa, without whom I wouldn’t have been able to get the whole thing together, and a big thanks to all the cool fans, creators, and folks who made the weekend such an enjoyable expereince!

Whew!  So there you have it.  I didn’t get a ton of pictures, because I was spending so much time drawing and talking to folks, but I’ll check out what I’ve got and maybe post some more later!

Take it easy folks!

Hello, from APE!

Hey everybody!  APE was a huge success for MastorisM!  I met a lot of great folks who were super excited about MastorisM (hopefully some of you are here reading this blog!), and sold a lot of comics.  I also got to meet a lot of other great creators, artists, writers, and vendors.  Overall, lots of fun, and it’s got me pumped for the future of the MastorisM.

In short… Can’t wait for WonderCon!

So, I’m literally, not even on the road home yet, so I’m going to keep this brief and write more at length about it once I’m home.  I know I had kinda hinted at the fact that I was going to be blogging each night from here, but, I seriously got into town at 2am Friday night, and by the time Saturday’s leg of the con was over… I was to beat to write anything sensical.

So…  Hello, and welcome to all the new readers (you can also check us out on Drunk Duck with the link above.  Same comic, bigger community), and let everyone else know that it was fun and went very well.

Thanks, and I will most certainly write more on this later… with pictures!
